Be Sound Don’t Be Little
The purpose of the project was to develop and promote a culture of civility for staff working in hospitals across Ireland. Hostility and incivility at work impacts everyone – the people directly involved, the witnesses, the wider team and even patients. When someone has been belittled – science shows that it’s serious. The amygdala is activated causing a stress response. This impacts judgement and decision making and can harm patients. We worked closely with a team of doctors and health and wellbeing specialist to develop a learning campaign with digital video scenarios and animations to support a change in behaviours.
